Elizabeth Shepard writes and teaches in New York City. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree in writing from Columbia University.

Elizabeth Shepard has taught creative writing to students age 6 through 60. Her first novel, H, has been heralded as a triumphant work of fiction, and she writes fiction and nonfiction for newspapers and magazines, including Parade Magazine, Spin, Scholastic, Swing, and others.
